DTF Paper and Film Buying Guide
Direct-to-film (DTF) printing lets garment decorators produce full-colour transfers without cutting vinyl or weaving screens. The workflow prints a mirrored design onto PET release film using DTF-compatible ink, applies white adhesive powder, cures the powder, then heat-presses the transfer onto cotton, polyester or blended t-shirts, hoodies and bags. Print shops across India adopt DTF because it handles photographic detail and small-run custom orders faster than traditional screen printing.
When sourcing dtf paper and film, match sheet or roll width to your printer carriage — A3 sheets suit desktop setups, while 60 cm rolls feed production shops running continuous jobs. Choose cold-peel film for crisp edges on detailed graphics, or hot-peel film for faster turnaround on high-volume orders. Adhesive powder quality determines wash durability on dark fabrics — fine white powder gives even coverage without clumping. Store film in a cool, dry area; humidity causes PET sheets to curl before printing.
Pair DTF consumables with compatible inks from our inks-epson-canon-hp-dtf-sublimation hub and a heat press from sublimation-machines for curing and transfer. Browse inkjet-media for additional print substrates and designs for ready-made artwork templates. AbhishekID ships DTF film, powder and PET paper together so t-shirt print shops can quote garment jobs with consumables from one cart.
